Difference between 2 type of Renault JB3/JH3 LSD what we offer

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 2 TYPES OF DIFFERENTIALS FOUND ON RENAULT JB3 GEARBOXES:

We make Torsen (helical gears) LSDs for both versions of JB3 gearboxes found in the market. Let's see the differences:

Circlip closed end: This system in found in the early type JB3, as well as in some JH3 gearboxes.

Nut closed end: This system is found in late type JB3, as well as in the very popular JC5 gearboxes.

How to know which type is your gearbox without the need of opening:

It is easy! Just look at the seals on your transmission. If it is a 70mm driveshaft oil seal - your box is nut closed end and if your box has a 56mm seal, it´s circlip closed end.
