Manufacturing Process

Our Plate-Type LSDs (Limited Slip Differentials) are precision-crafted from FORGED Nickel-Chromoly steel and undergo specialized heat treatments, including Cryogenic Treatment. Additionally, they are subjected to advanced surface strengthening processes such as shot peening and WPC to enhance structural integrity, increase wear resistance, and extend service life.

These materials and treatments not only minimize friction and improve strength, but also contribute to significant weight reduction and better internal lubrication thanks to the incorporation of large oil windows and multiple holes.

As a result, our LSDs deliver exceptional durability, typically requiring no servicing during the first 2,000 km of special stages, along with improved and consistent traction and braking performance.

This OPEL/VAUXHALL Plate-Type LSD is the only LSD on the market featuring a 12-friction-plate configuration for standard spline side gears, whereas most competitors use only 8 plates. Important Reminder:

We recommend using gear oils with shockproof additives or friction modifiers, commonly labeled as "LS" (Limited Slip) gear oils, specifically for plate-type LSDs.

The most common SAE grade is 75W-140 LS and only with LS specifications if a plate-type LSD is installed.

It is also advisable to add gear oil directly to the LSD during installation into the gearbox. Please note that although we apply anti-rust oil during assembly at our factory, it does not provide lubrication.
