Plate-Type LSD for PSA BE 5 & 6 speed gearboxes.
Applications:
This LSD is a direct fit for the entire range of BE transmissions manufactured by PSA, including the BE1, BE3, BE4S, and BE4R in their 5-speed versions, as well as the BE3-6 in its 6-speed configuration. These gearboxes are commonly found across a wide variety of Peugeot and Citroën models.

Technical Specifications:
Our Plate-type LSD´s (Limited Slip Differentials) are crafted from ”Forged Nickel-Chromoly” steel and undergo specialized heat treatments such as Super Sub-Zero (Cryogenic treatment). Additionally, in some applications they are subjected to shot peening and WPC processes to improve core and surface strength, increase wear resistance and further extend service life.
The high-strength material, combined with these advanced treatments, not only minimizes friction and enhances fatigue strength but also contributes to a significant weight reduction and improved internal lubrication, thanks to large windows and multi-hole designs. As a result, our LSDs offer exceptional durability, requiring no servicing for the first 2,000 km of special stages on average, while delivering consistent and stable performance.

This plated LSD offers a 12-friction-plate design, whereas most other options on the market offer only 8 plates. This ensures superior traction and long-term performance, even under the demanding conditions of endurance races.

They are also the lightest on the market, weighing only 4.65 kg.

As with all our plated LSDs, we use dual-ramp bodies, with our factory-spec version for this application set at 35/65 & 45/60. Other ramp angles are available upon request.
Additional parts included free of charge:
✔ An extra, thicker Belleville/conical washer, for those who wish to experiment with higher preload values.
✔ A set of 8 ring gear/crown wheel bolts made from high-tensile steel (grade 12.9).The crown bolts are tightened to the torque specified by the manufacturer in the repair manual. We recommend applying a high-strength threadlocker, such as Loctite 271 (red) or, for maximum security, Loctite 270/2701 (green).

Important Reminder:
We recommend using gear oils with shockproof additives or friction modifiers, commonly labeled as "LS" (Limited Slip) gear oils, specifically for plate-type LSDs.
The most common SAE grade is 75W-140 LS, but for BE transmissions with synchromesh gears, we recommend 80W-90 — and only with LS specifications if a plate-type LSD is installed.
It is also advisable to add gear oil directly to the LSD during installation into the gearbox. Please note that although we apply anti-rust oil during assembly at our factory, it does not provide lubrication.
